Hottest MCs 2023

MTV Base brings back Hottest MCs in 2023.

The episodes will air tonight and tomorrow (1 December) on MTV Base at 17h00.

The show's format divides itself into two episodes.

The first unveils the bottom half of the top 10 names that have rocked the South African hip hop scene in 2023.

The suspense builds, leading to the second episode where the countdown concludes and the number one spot is revealed.

The heart of Hottest MCs lies in the panel of judges, who will take on the task of ranking the artists from 1 to 10.

The panel of judges includes:

Kyeezi
Ubereatx
Fiflaaa
DJ Switch
DJ ZanD
Fred Kayembe

Tshego Koke is the host who will drive the conversation, mediating between the panel of judges and providing insight into the music that's been making waves throughout the year.

Hottest MCs 2023 is a testament to the resilience, innovation and influence of South African hip hop.
