For the second consecutive year, the Miss SA pageant will take place in Cape Town and is simulcast live on M-Net and Mzansi Magic, as well as live-streamed (paid) at misssa.live.
The contestants represent four provinces – Gauteng has four (with one from Tshwane), followed by the Western Cape with three, the Eastern Cape with two and KwaZulu-Natal with one entrant.
They include a medical doctor; a commercial pilot; owners of a model agency, swimwear company and an online bakery and legal graduates and students.
The Top 3 will go on to represent the country at the world's three most prestigious pageants: Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Supranational.
Only in the days after Miss South Africa 2021 is crowned and the other top two are announced, will the Miss South Africa Organisation decide which candidate would do the best at which competition.
The Top 10 judges – all former Miss South Africa title holders – were Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala (2010), Liesl Laurie (2015), Melinda Bam (2011) and Tamaryn Green (2018).
The winner of Miss South Africa 2021 is set to take home a package of prizes and sponsorships worth more than R4-million when she takes the crown from reigning Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida.
The new queen will receive R1-million in cash from the Miss South Africa Organisation, as well as the use of a furnished and serviced apartment at the luxurious Central Square Sandton, with interior décor by Vursa, and a Mercedes Benz C-Class Sedan for the year of her reign.

Borderforce USA: The Bridges 3
CBS Reality (DStv 132)
The 2,000-mile border that separates Texas and Mexico is the busiest international boundary in the world.
On the United States side, Customs and Border Protection officers have the job of keeping goods and people flowing in both directions while making sure that guns, drugs and other contraband don't make it across the border.
The challenge is daunting: on one side is the ruthlessly efficient Mexican drug cartels; on the other, the biggest – and most lucrative - drug market on Earth.
Borderforce USA: The Bridges follows CBP officers stationed at 12 of the 28 international bridges that straddle the border and documents the immense challenges that the officers face on a daily basis.
In the third season, Customs and Border Protection Officers continue seizing record amounts of illegal drugs entering America from the south while trying to stop the relentless flow of laundered cash, military grade firearms and ammunition heading south that the cartels rely on for their continuing power struggle in the border towns on the Mexico side of the mighty Rio Grande.
America's international bridges on its southern border may be closed to all but essential traffic due to the global pandemic, but the ongoing war against Mexico's drugs cartels is as intense as ever.
In the Season 3 premiere: Officers intercept an arsenal of weapons being smuggled into Mexico.
Also, a deadly consignment of Fentanyl is discovered in a freezer and a group of Guatemalan immigrants is stranded at the bridges.

First Thato meets with the alienated parent and the person who is refusing access to the child separately, before the confrontation is filmed between the two parents, with a way forward coming at the end.
In the series premiere: A depressed mother is denied access to a son who lives in the same street as her.
She knows it is her son, even though he thinks she is just another lady that lives in their street.
