Hard Sun

Channel: M-Net (DStv 101)
TX Time: 22h00
Genre: Sci-Fi, Drama

A pre-apocalyptic crime drama set in contemporary London in which the protagonists are two mismatched police officers, Charlie Hicks and Elaine Renko, who stumble upon proof that a mysterious cosmic event will destroy the earth in five years, a fact the government is trying to keep secret to avoid complete anarchy.

The duo is pursued by MI5 operatives who are trying to silence them for good.

The two cops stand on different ends of the social and moral spectrum and also seriously distrust one other - and for good reason. But they must somehow learn to work together if they're going to survive until the end of the world

Chopped Junior 5

Channel: Food Network (DStv 175)
TX Time: 19h00
Genre: Reality Competition, Food

When it comes to cooking skills, age is but a number for the big talents of Chopped Junior – and no task is off-limits for these young contestants, including taking on chicken and waffles, working vegetables into decadent desserts, and pairing chocolate with everything imaginable, from cheese to insects.

But although the chefs are smaller in size, the stakes are the same – impress the judges or face the chopping block.

With guest judges like actress Allison Williams and chefs Bethenny Frankel and Valerie Bertinelli, there's no shortage of fun and finesse to be found in the Chopped studio as the kids take to the kitchen to test their culinary know-how.

George Clarke's Amazing Spaces 7

Channel: BBC Lifestyle (DStv 174)
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: Reality

The new season of ingenious and eccentric small space designs takes George to Japan, a canal boat conversion in Dudley, and a luxury camper in Yorkshire made from a cattle trailer.

George travels over 5,000 miles to explore the wonder of small space builds in Japan. In the Midlands, a father and daughter salvage a dilapidated tree house with a £300 budget.

George also takes a look back at several memorable off-grid projects, from a wooden yurt in a quarry to a medieval summerhouse, a Victorian shepherds hut, and a stunning VW campervan.
