Season 4

uBettina Wethu is a dramedy that is an adaptation of the Columbian series Yo Soy Betty La Fea, a television drama successfully adapted for local audiences in 19 countries – including the US adaptation Ugly Betty.

Bettina (Betty), everyone's favourite bestie, returns in a more quirky, funny, self-assured, and motivated way than ever.

In Season 4 we will see Betty, her comrades and kin in a whole new light as they realise new goals and fix old wounds.

Betty has lost herself and her goals, so she sets off to realign and march forward renewed and determined to win without the distraction of personal relationships which has been her downfall in the past.

This season also introduces two new characters:

Xhanti Ximiya (The Deceiver) played by Prince Grootboom - a suave, eloquent, charming, intelligent and good natured guy.

This young man is a 29-year-old undercover rich kid who comes from quiet wealth – his family is a highly politically and business connected family in the Eastern Cape.

Then there is Khethiwe "KP" Phakade (Amanda Seome), an ambitious young woman who believes she is here to change the game.

Khethiwe is the new cool, fresh, vibey threat in the world of digital marketing, with "threat" being exactly what she sees herself as.

In the Season 4 premiere, "Betty in the Bundus": Betty is back in Hammanskraal, adjusting to her new way of life when Izzy and Reggie show up to convince her to return to Cosmo.
