Season 1

Love My Way is an Australian television drama series created by John Edwards, Claudia Karvan and Jacqueline Perske about a 30-something woman negotiating the web of contemporary relationships, juggling the priorities of family obligations, being successful at love while fulfilled professionally and hoping that "happiness" might occur if all the other things fall into place.

The series originally aired in Australia from 22 November 2004 – 19 March 2007. There are 30 episodes in three seasons.

Love My Way premiered in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Series channel on Thursday 25 October 2007, at 21h00.

Synopsis

A bittersweet, complex, intriguing drama about a group of characters bound by family ties - Frankie, her ex-husband Charlie, his brother Tom and Charlie's new wife, Julia.

Made originally for pay television, Love My Way is a gentle, abstract sort of drama, not easily defined in terms of its setting or premise, driven entirely by the characters and the circumstances they find themselves in.

Frankie is a tempestuous ball of mad life: she colours in for a living at a large daily newspaper. She lives with Tom, a fallen star chef, now a cook at the local rehabilitation hospital.

Just down the road in a much nicer house lives Charlie (35) - architect, surfer, emotionally stunted and Lou's father. He's also Frank's ex and Tom's brother. Charlie's remarried to Julia, a woman with firm dreams about her life that are about to come true and which scare her.

Love My Way is an exploration of big characters dealing with the deepest human emotions. Love, hate, truth, lies, jealousy and anger. It deals with the randomness of life and the bloody mindedness needed to carve out a place in the world.

These people are family by blood and family by proxy - a web of relationships which are pulled and strained by the strongest desires and contradictions of the human heart.
