Massive Music is a South African music show hosted by Lalla Hirayama and Smash Afrika which features artist interviews, studio performances and a weekly music chart.
The angle of the show is about "going big or going home", an entertainment stage where viewers get the story behind the songs or albums across a wide range of genres.
The show adheres to a strict "no insert" policy, using the time to probe deeper into the artist's psyche for a more meaningful and richer interview experience (and allowing more room for performances).
Each week also features a hot seat segment, discussing all things music and creative. The show attempts to appeal to a wide musical palette, whether you're a jazz junkie, afropop fan, hip hop head, kwaito devotee, or house hound.
Massive Music is executive produced by Glenn van Loggerenberg for Don't Look Down.
