Season 1 aired on eNews from 30 September to 2 December, 2010, on Thursdays at 21h00. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 10 episodes in the first season.

Synopsis

The world of technology moves at breakneck speed - blink and you might miss it. Tech Report is your essential roundup of what you need to know about the wonderful world of technology.

It covers everything from new products, innovations and ideas, to what's going viral on the world wide web this week. Join Ndoni Khanyile and her team of tech investigators for all the latest.

Tech Report also features in-depth reports on the latest products, websites and gadgets available and looks at how the web is affecting popular culture and the media at large with specific reference to how these technologies are being utilised in South Africa.

In addition, the programme features interviews and profiles on various technology personalities in South Africa and the projects that they are involved in.

Tech Report was hosted by Bongo Mbutuma in Season 1 (although Celia Ncalane hosted the pilot episode) and featured contributions from blogger Seth Rotherham, Car Magazine's Juliet McGuire, Digital Marketing specialist Jonathan Allan-Barrett and Online Strategist and eNuus Reporter Andre-Pierre du Plessis.

Since Season 2 the series has been hosted by Ndoni Khanyile with contributions from Rotherham, McGuire and Allan-Barrett. Contributors since Season 2 include presenter Jason Maneveld and radio DJ Tapfuma Makina.

Tech Report is an extension of The Showbiz Report brand which aims to appeal to the "tech savvy" as well as those who would like to become more technologically literate.
