Season 2

Tech Report (formerly known as The Tech Report) is a South African technology magazine show created, written and produced by Nicky Greenwall and André-Pierre du Plessis and produced by Greenwall Productions (Season 1) and Homebrew Films (since Season 2) which covers the latest technology news from South Africa and around the world.

Hosted by Ndoni Khanyile, the series is the third of Greenwall's entertainment magazine series, after The Showbiz Report and The Style Report.

Tech Report premiered on DStv's eNews channel on Thursday 30 September 2010, at 21h00. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 2 aired on the eNews channel from 10 November, 2011 to 3 February 2012, on Thursdays at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 13 episodes in the second season.

Synopsis

The world of technology moves at breakneck speed - blink and you might miss it. Tech Report is your essential roundup of what you need to know about the wonderful world of technology.

It covers everything from new products, innovations and ideas, to what's going viral on the world wide web this week. Join Ndoni Khanyile and her team of tech investigators for all the latest.

Tech Report also features in-depth reports on the latest products, websites and gadgets available and looks at how the web is affecting popular culture and the media at large with specific reference to how these technologies are being utilised in South Africa.

In addition, the programme features interviews and profiles on various technology personalities in South Africa and the projects that they are involved in.

Tech Report was hosted by Bongo Mbutuma in Season 1 (although Celia Ncalane hosted the pilot episode) and featured contributions from blogger Seth Rotherham, Car Magazine's Juliet McGuire, Digital Marketing specialist Jonathan Allan-Barrett and Online Strategist and eNuus Reporter Andre-Pierre du Plessis.

Since Season 2 the series has been hosted by Ndoni Khanyile with contributions from Rotherham, McGuire and Allan-Barrett. Contributors since Season 2 include presenter Jason Maneveld and radio DJ Tapfuma Makina.

Tech Report is an extension of The Showbiz Report brand which aims to appeal to the "tech savvy" as well as those who would like to become more technologically literate.
