Season 4

Modern Family is an American mockumentary comedy television series created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan and produced by Fox Television Studios which follows the families of Jay Pritchett, his daughter Claire Dunphy and his son Mitchell Pritchett, who live in Los Angeles, and takes a modern and hilarious look at the complications that come with being a family today.

Today's Modern Family comes in all shapes and sizes. Just ask these three families.

Jay recently married Gloria. Now Jay is trying hard to keep up with his much younger and hotter Colombian wife, along with her passionate pre-teen son, Manny.

Claire is having a hard time raising her own family. Her husband Phil is great, except that he thinks he's "down" with their three kids, much to all their embarrassment.

And, Mitchell and his enthusiastic partner Cameron have just made a major life change by adopting a Vietnamese baby named Lily.

First, let's meet the Dunphys. Phil is the enthusiastic, "tries too hard" husband/dad who loves his slightly-uptight (but in a good way) wife, Claire, and their three way different kids.

Haley is your typical independent, eye-rolling teen. Younger sister Alex is wise beyond her years and little brother Luke, well, isn't.

Claire's no-nonsense dad, Jay Pritchett, married a much younger Colombian beauty named Gloria Delgado. Her passion for life has rubbed off on her young son Manny, who marches to the beat of his own drum, usually in a burgundy dinner jacket.

Jay's lawyer son, Mitchell, embraced a major life change when he and his free-spirit partner, Cameron, adopted their super-cute Vietnamese baby, Lily.

They're learning all the parenting ropes as they go. Fortunately, they have the loving support of their extended, eclectic, ever-funny family.

Who doesn't think their family is the strangest one out there?

Modern Family stars Ed O'Neill as Jay, Sofía Vergara as Gloria, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Ariel Winter as Alex, Nolan Gould as Luke, Rico Rodriguez as Manny and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as Lily.

The series is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television in association with Picador Productions and Steven Levitan Prods. Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are the creators/executive producers.

Danny Zuker, Dan O'Shannon, Bill Wrubel, Paul Corrigan, Brad Walsh, Abraham Higginbotham and Jeffrey Richman also serve as executive producers.

Broadcast Notes

Season 4 premiered on M-Net on Wednesday 13 February 2013, at 19h30. After seven episodes had aired it moved to Mondays at 19h00.

Modern Family was the first show to be broadcast on M-Net Series Showcase when it went live on Tuesday 9 July, 2013. The channel only aired Season 4 - it skipped the first three seasons and became defunct before the fifth could air.
