Season 3

Now produced by Red Pepper Pictures, this new season of Mzansi Love takes on a brand new format. In the last two seasons, Mzansi Love consisted of stand-alone dramas. Season 3 is eight episodes, with all the characters based in an advertising agency, Kgosi Advertising, in downtown Johannesburg.

Set against the backdrop of this fast paced professional environment, the characters' lives intersects and in each episode the focus is on someone's personal love story.

Khanyi Mbau and Phumi Mncayi play the lead characters Lebo and Tumi Kgosi, and Mzansi Love 3 features a mix of prominent actors as well as up-and-coming actors in South Africa.

Stars including the likes of Munya Chidzonga, Noxee Maqashalala, Gcina Mkhize, Rea Rangaka, Mmarona Kgwele, Kope Makgae, Pope Jerrod, Abigail Kubeka, Xoli Zondi, Zewande Bhengu, Nolwazi Shange, Batsile Ramasodi, Zakeeya Patel and Clementine Mosimane.

Kgosi Advertising was established five years ago by Lebo (Khanyi Mbau) and Tumi Kgosi (Phumi Mncayi). It is located in Braamfontein, downtown Johannesburg and has a staff complement of +-15 people.

Five years ago, when it opened its doors, Kgosi Advertising took off with a bang and became very successful, very quickly. This golden period lasted for about three years, but since the economic crisis hit and impacted advertising spend, keeping the office running has become more and more difficult and the agency is now in crisis.

Welcome to the world of Mzansi Love 3, where every person has a love story to tell.

Mzansi Love tells stories of everyday love in Mzansi. From the romantic, butterflies-in-your-tummy experience, to the trials and tribulations of romance that everyone can identify with.

This new format further entrenches the vision behind the Mzansi Love genre, by telling real positive stories from the streets. This production also provides a learning platform and exposure to novice actors and production crews behind the scenes.
