On the run after a daring prison escape, Zenzi navigates a treacherous world of old foes and unexpected allies, fighting to bring down the shadowy syndicate responsible for Max and Esulu's deaths.
Uncovering the harsh truth that justice is not the same for everyone, the lines between right and wrong blur, and Zenzi must decide whether she will trust the system or take matters into her own hands.
A number of characters return to the story this season, including Zenzi's former employer, the anxious yet fiercely loyal writer Lufuno (Mothusi Magano), and ruthless crime untouchables Reuben Theron (Colin Moss) and Andrew Harting (Frank Rautenbach).
Escalating the stakes in Zenzi's perilous world are new figures: S'bu (Siv Ngesi), Eric Davids (Kevin Smith) and Detective Visser (Erica Wessels), each with their own motives that will shape her relentless mission.
The new season also features a returning Sindi Dlathu and Sello Motloung, who plays Zenzi and Naledi's father.
