Monnye Kunupi is a South African actress and radio presenter who has appeared in numerous television series, most notably in three different episodes of the e.tv anthology drama series eKasi: Our Stories.
Other television shows she has acted in include Generations, Backstage, Jozi Streets, Society, 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls, Jacob's Cross, Soul City, The Streets of Mangaung and Ga Re Dumele.
Monnye has also acted in several commercials for clients including Standard Bank, SABC TV Licenses, Maize Trust, Deloitte, Vodacom, Enterprise, Kelloggs, Avbob, Johnson & Johnson and Koo.
She was also a presenter on two different community radion stations: Tembisa Info Radio and Kasie FM.
Monnye has also worked as a production secretary, a producer, a production manager, an event co-ordinator and a marketing director.
She speaks seTswana, English, Afrikaans and seSotho.
In 2018 she had a starring role as Queen Mosadi, a wise and fair leader who transformed her kingdom from relative obscurity to a progressive, industrious community, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Throne.
