Greed & Desire is a South African telenovela produced by Ochre Moving Pictures which tells the story of a family that rose to power from nothing, only for greed and ambition to threaten the entire family and its legacy after the unexpected death of the family patriarch.
Exploring the themes of ambition, wealth, power, secrets and desire, the series is set in Bloemfontein, where the Makhethas rose from nothing to become the most successful family in the Free State through their hospitality business.
Fuelled by ruthless ambition, betrayal and jealousy, The Makhetha empire is at stake. The battle to protect the family wealth sees a series of events take place after the patriarch of the family is killed in a fit of rage. His murder becomes the root of a dreadful secret that sees the family empire falling into the wrong hands.
Lives are ruined when the family learns the truth about who killed the head of the house, as the fate of the empire that was built from nothing to become an established jewel is at stake.
The rightful heir is in the dark about their inheritance and the responsibilities that lie ahead in their future. And so the story of how greed ruined a family by threatening their wealth and fortune unfolds.
Headlining the cast is Thato Molamu, Nthati Moshesh, Xoli Zondi, Matli Mohapeloa, Motsoaledi Setumo, Thami Mngqolo, Buyile Mdladla and Nkopane Mohola.

The working title of the show was Ke Thaba Bosiu.
