Bio

Motsoaledi Setumo is a South African radio producer and actress best known for her recurring role as Thabitha Cele (Thabi), a raunchy young lady who was notably involved in a bondage scene involving hot candle wax, on the SABC1 soap opera Generations: The Legacy.

Her role on Generations, in June 2015, was her first credited screen acting role. She auditioned three times before she landed the role of Thabitha.

Born Motsoaledi Kgothatso Elna Setumo, she was an only child to her mother Glenda Setumo and a first born to her father Johnny Setumo. She was born and raised in Kagiso on the Westrand.

Her mother was involved in a car accident when she was eight years old and she stayed with relatives for years while her mother was still recovering from the accident, which left her quadriplegic.

Motsoaledi studied Media Studies and specialised in Radio Broadcasting at Boston Media House, from 2011-2013.

From 2016-2017 she had a starring role as Tselane Dlamini in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Greed & Desire.

The following year she had a recurring role as Mmabatho on the Mzansi Magic soap opera The Queen, making her first appearance in Season 2, Episode 124 (which aired on Thursday 18 January, 2018).
