Stana Katic is a Canadian actress best known for her starring role as Detective Kate Beckett on the television drama series Castle.

She appeared in the Polish Brothers' film, For Lovers Only. Shot in the spirit of the French New Wave, For Lovers Only is a sexy love story set in Paris.

She also stars in the espionage thriller, The Double, opposite Richard Gere. In this film, Katic plays Amber, a fiesty prostitute who leads Gere further into the Machiavellian world of Washington D.C.'s underbelly.

Katic appeared in the cult comic-book movie The Spirit, opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Mendes, in the role of the quirky, sexy, rookie cop, Morgenstern. Directed by Frank Miller, this comic-book film tells the story of police officer Denny Colt's return from the beyond as Central City's savior, The Spirit.

Katic also appeared with Daniel Craig in Quantum of Solace, which was nominated for a 2009 Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Best Action Movie. She also appeared in Feast of Love, opposite Morgan Freeman and Greg Kinnear, and in Stiletto, with Tom Sizemore.

Katic currently resides in Los Angeles and holds dual citizenship with Canada.
