Ngikhethele

Channel: Mzansi Magic (DStv 161)
TX Time: 18h00
Genre: Dating Game Show, Reality

Ngikhethele

This arranged marriage show presents a unique approach to finding your happily ever after.

Ngikhethele follows the whirlwind journey of eight singles who, disillusioned by modern dating, turn to their families in search of their ideal life partners.

However, families must solely rely on meeting and vetting potential spouses' families, without direct interaction with the potential suitors themselves.

The process starts with families visiting the Ngikhethele lounge to establish their preferences and criteria for a match for their son.

Next, two families are picked for initial dates.

After the dates, the families move on to the home date phase, with the groom's family visiting the top two homes and vice versa.

The true essence of Ngikhethele lies in the final decision-making process where families select their preferred match for the singles.

Once decided, a letter is sent to the bride's family for ukucela ubuhlobo, and the bride's family has the option to accept or decline.

The show culminates in the highly anticipated lobola day, where both families gather to celebrate the engagement.

The couple is brought together for the first time, and they spend three weeks in a trial home to assess their compatibility.

On the eve of lobola day, preparations begin as the families come together to negotiate and finalise the marriage arrangements.

The ultimate decision to marry rests with the couple, allowing them to determine their future together.

The Age of Nature

The Age of Nature brings together inspirational contributors, rare archive material and stunning imagery from around the world, to give us a deeper understanding of Nature and our place within it.

Episode 1: Awakening

Journeying from the coral reefs of Bikini Atoll to Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique, we discover Nature's resilience.

From the cod fishing grounds of Norway to the forests of Panama we discover Nature's limits and in China, we discover the enormous potential for humans to restore Nature.

Episode 2: Understanding

Investigates how a deeper understanding of Nature is helping us find surprising ways of fixing it.

From the Elwha River in America to the countryside of China we learn that the most unlikely creatures can have a huge impact.

In Yellowstone National Park we discover that predators play a crucial role in restoring ecosystems.

And in Scotland and Cape Town we realise that trees can both transform, or destroy, landscapes.

Episode 3: Changing

By restoring our forests, mangroves, seagrass meadows, coral reefs, and most importantly biodiversity, we can help nature drawdown the excess carbon from the atmosphere and slow climate change.

Britain's Got Talent 15

After a year away, this is the return of the UK's best known variety talent show.

Now in its 15th season, the talent extravaganza is back and bigger than ever before, with even more awe-inspiring and show-stopping performers all vying to impress the judges and secure their place in the live-semi-finals taking place later this year.

Reuniting with their infamous buzzers are judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams, who this year celebrate their 10th year working alongside one another.

Inimitable duo Ant and Dec will also be returning as hosts ready to cheer and console the acts brave enough to brace the stage of London Palladium Theatre.

Having had an extra year to perfect their acts, the calibre this year is the best BGT has ever seen.

Among the eye-popping talents is a dog act like no other, harmonious choirs and in a BGT first, a phantom man who left the judges spooked like never before.

Adding to the magic of this season and brand new to the show is the judges' "Golden Moments", in which each judge will surprise unsuspecting individuals, inviting them to audition on the iconic stage.

Expect the unexpected as the acts battle it out for the chance to scoop the £250,000 prize and perform to royalty at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance.

Britain's Got Talent has delivered memorable TV moments of the last decade and more including Paul Potts, Diversity, Tokio Myers, Lost Voice Guy and Susan Boyle.

But who will follow in the footsteps of Season 14 victor Jon Courtenay and win over the public to be crowned BGT winner 2022?
