Fire Country

Bad choices don't make a bad man. At least that's what Bode Donavan's been told.

Midway through a five-year prison stretch, he's been trying to convince himself of it, too.

He gets the chance to prove it, signing on to an unconventional prison-release program: in exchange for reduced sentences, convicts are paired with firefighters battling Northern California wildfires.

The heat is turned up when Bode's assigned to the program in his rural hometown, the place where all his troubles began.

In the series premiere, "Pilot": Max Thieriot stars as Bode Donovan, a young convict seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence by joining a prison release firefighting program in Northern California where he and other inmates are partnered with elite firefighters to extinguish massive, unpredictable wildfires across the region.

It's a high-risk, high-reward assignment, and the heat is turned up when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, where he was once a golden all-American son until his troubles began.

Five years ago, Bode burned down everything in his life, leaving town with a big secret.

Now he's back, with the rap sheet of a criminal and the audacity to believe in a chance for redemption with Cal Fire.

This comedy show features Mo'Nique, Adele Givens, Sommore and Laura Hayes sharing their uncensored views on life, men and sex.

The ladies leave no stone unturned in ensuring an evening of giggles, adulterated laughter and irreversible trips of nostalgia.

Laura Hayes opens up the show with anecdotes about her crazy family, and Mo'Nique brings down the house with a raunchy closing act.

Love Island UK 2

On this late night risqué reality show, a group of singletons must choose their partners wisely - in order to avoid being dumped - both by their potential lovers and from the show.

In between beach bonfires and intimate dinners some shock eliminations and new arrivals ensure constant unpredictability and rivalry for the Islanders.

And once contestants leave the island, the remaining singles must re-couple or risk being sent home.

Slap on the sun cream and get ready to soak up another long, hot summer on the only island in love with love so much, it's even named after it.

Yes lads and lasses; señor and señoritas; Love Island is back on your screens this summer, and this time, it's all about survival of the fittest.

Prepare for even more rainbow moments, stolen kisses and some serious breaches of girl code.

Romesh Ranganathan: The Cynic

Returning to his hometown of Crawley, England, Romesh Ranganathan riffs on veganism, his kids - and offers a peek into the making of his comedy special.

The special is followed by a half hour semi-scripted comedy doc that will chart Romesh's desire to create the ultimate Netflix finale in his home town of Crawley and how it never quite happened.

This will be the Fyre Festival of comedy finales as his ambitions far outweigh what he is able to achieve.

Crime Scene 3: The Texas Killing Fields

Channel: Netflix South Africa
TX Time: 10h00 (all episodes)
Genre: True Crime, Documentary Series

Crime Scene 3: The Texas Killing Fields

Documentary series exploring the ways in which certain locations aid and abet criminal activity.

The new season investigates the "Texas Killing Fields", a region with a dark pattern of girls who have disappeared and turned up dead.

Amidst the marshes and oil refineries alongside the interstate corridor connecting Houston and the beach town of Galveston, lies Calder Road - the patch of land that earned its name after the bodies of three young women were discovered there in the 1980s and a fourth in 1991.

Their murders remain unsolved, but one grieving father refuses to give up on the hunt for his daughter's killer, while the search and recovery organisation he founded supports other local families facing similar tragedies.

His determined pursuit of justice for the victims drives the series as it delves into five decades of the area's unsettling history, uncovering a pattern of eerie connections and missed opportunities surrounding the Calder Road cold cases that may, at long last, lead investigators to the truth.

Actors in this post: Max Thieriot, Mo'Nique
