Beyond the Pole
Vuzu (DStv 116)
Beyond the Pole explores the world of some of Atlanta's most famous strippers.
Although the series is about strippers, the message is more important by examining the question: "What's your life beyond the pole?" and what these women want out of life.
This season we see whether the ensemble of dancers succeed or fail at efforts to reach financial freedom and peace of mind outside of the strip club.
In the series premiere, "Throw Some Mo": Labri has an issue when another dancer dances for her regular Young Joc.
Laina confides in Lea Lea about her issues with her mother being on drugs and she considers counseling.
Meanwhile, Labri is introduced to Coach Stormy by a mutual friend to assist her with her lipstick line.
The Real Manhunter
CBS Justice (DStv 170)
True Crime, Documentary Series
Former Detective Chief Inspector Colin Sutton spent 30 years in the police force, a career that saw him lead many of the most high-profile and successful murder investigations of his generation.
Though he will forever be associated with the arrest and conviction of serial killer Levi Bellfield and 'night stalker' Delroy Grant, his career was so much more, as his conviction record shows.
Of the 37 murder cases he investigated, he solved 35 with convictions.
In this eight-part series, Sutton revisits cases he led and explores everything from the crime itself to the breakthrough moment when the suspect was identified and arrested.
He will take the viewer on a journey from the moment the police were called to the scene, visit key locations, and explain how he and his team managed to gather enough evidence to secure a conviction.
The Real Manhunter features contributions from fellow police officers and journalists who covered the cases and offers a gripping insight into exactly what happens after the most violent of crimes have been committed.

The Mallorca Files 2
BBC Brit (DStv 120)
Police Procedural, Drama
DCs Miranda Blake and Max Winter may be like chalk and cheese, but their partnership is a proven recipe for success.
And with even more spectacular scenery and crime capers in store, the crime-fighting duo are once again ready to give crime a kick in the Balearics.
Following her decision to stay on the island, Season 2 sees Miranda settling into her life on Mallorca; she's even starting to enjoy a little 'Mallorca time'.
She's come to terms with Max's quirks (at least most of the time) and she's even starting to build a rapport with Palma Police Chief Ines.
In fact, her biggest short-term problem seems to be finding somewhere permanent to lay her head.
But crime doesn't sleep in Mallorca, and now that the pair have proven their worth (and their partnership) to Ines, the duo find themselves allocated bigger, more sophisticated and more local cases.
It's not too long before Miranda and Max are investigating the murder of a world-famous Mallorcan opera singer; the devastating legacy of the Spanish Civil War; the stalking of a rising football star; childhood love and jealousy; bird smuggling; and an apparent grand patricide.
Of course, all these crimes are set against the breathtaking backdrops which showcase the stunning variety of Mallorca's landscape: whether that's the magical caves of Drax; the stunning wilds of Mallorca's national park or the wild-western canyons in Mallorca's interior.
As with the first season, each episode of the second season is a self-contained story, paying homage to the great film genres that many will instantly recognise, such as The Big Sleep, City of God or The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover; not to mention iconic western The Outlaw Jose Wales.
This season also covers some hard-hitting contemporary themes, such as the 'Me Too' movement and civil war.
In the Season 2 premiere, "The Maestro": The murder of an opera star seems to have no obvious motive, especially as everyone considers him a saint.
But Miranda and Max's investigation leads to a dramatic conclusion worthy of any opera.
Gold Divers 10
Discovery Channel (DStv 121)
Nome, Alaska has been stirring up a summer mining season no one can pass up.
This season, gold prices are on track to reach an all-time high and with this new opportunity comes new challenges.
Owning a claim is more vital now than ever as it's the only way to guarantee a place to mine.
Nome's untamed roots are reestablished as the mining fleet among the competition and returning familiar faces battle in a free-for-all to claim the richest grounds on the Bering Sea.
With the biggest shakeup Nome has seen in over 100 years, seasoned miners and average joes alike are on the hunt for the biggest money-making claims.
Shawn Pomrenke, former "Mr. Gold," returns with a new ally in mind - rival Dave Young of Arctic Sea Mining.
Shawn's plan? To mine the most gold ever in a single season while reconstructing the Myrtle Irene to launch on the infamous and most sought-after Tomcod claim.
With even higher hopes to take over his family's inland mine and buy out his dad Steve Pomrenke, Shawn is willing to risk it all for a second time, in the hopes of achieving the most profitable pay streak he's ever had.
Captain Kris Kelly has his own eyes on the prize, and surprisingly, a new mining ground.
He's taking the most ambitious chance of his mining career by leading the largest vessel he's ever captained, where no miner has ventured before, in order to live and work off of the coast of the remote town of Elim.
It's Kris' most unpredictable season yet as he lands himself on a new excavator dredge and dodges bullets from every direction while he chases gold... literally.
Kris will also share his "exclusive" mining knowledge with viewers in "Kris Kelly's Secret Guide to Mining" featured in each episode.
But it's the return of rogue mastermind Zeke Tenhoff and Emily's mercurial father Steve Riedel that really stirs up the already tumultuous Bering Sea.
Zeke focuses on creating what he thinks will be a competitive advantage - a first-of-its-kind sailboat dredge.
This type of dredge will enable him to access further and deeper claims, stay overnight on the dredge, and withstand storms that would otherwise push other dredges back to the harbour.
The mad scientist doesn't return alone; he's got a rockstar crew with him including brother Sam Tenhoff and his bassist Raven.
Zeke may have taken a break from the Bering Sea, but nothing will stop him from pursuing its gold.
All the while, Steve Riedel returns ready to start from the ground up to assemble a mining rig and secure a top-notch claim of his own.
He'll do whatever it takes to make it happen.
Along the way, Steve Riedel will dig into the history of the remote gold-struck town where he shares with viewers the "Weird Wild Wonderful World of Nome" in nearly every episode.
As the battlefield of Nome continues to grow, Emily Riedel must pivot her strategy and plan for a new idea of success.
She puts aside her plans to operate a second dredge and dives into the claim war while recruiting Nome's top gold divers to establish her elite team.
Meanwhile, Vernon Adkison gambles all he's got for one of the richest claims on the Bering Sea - Claim 56.
With his go-to team all unavailable, he must resort to finding a brand-new crew.
Desperation leads him to a possible collaboration with Steve Riedel, who Vernon has fought and fired multiple times throughout the years.
The wild west of mining is back with a new gold rush right at home in Nome, Alaska.
With the richest claims up for grabs, these miners are willing to risk it all for the ultimate pay off.
