TX Time: 19h00
Genre: Documentary

The Mighty Atom

The incredible true story of Joseph Greenstein, who at 5'4" became the world's strongest man.

Stopping an airplane from taking off with his hair, bending steel with his hands, biting through nails; he achieved impossible feats of strength and may have been the inspiration for Superman.

Given a death sentence as a young child, Greenstein would go on to create and master unusual feats of strength.

An amazing tale of human potential.

Hippos After Dark

Channel: SABC3
TX Time: 18h30
Genre: Wildlife, Documentary

Hippos After Dark

For a dominant hippo bull, his territory is his empire. By day he languishes confidently in his watery river habitat.

He's aggressive and territorial and his rule is indisputable. But by night, dark forces grip the land and control slips to the predators.

Now the hippos are at a disadvantage; they have huge bodies to fuel and most of their feeding takes place on land... and at night.

To get to their grazing lands they must leave the safety of the river and run the gauntlet of the flesh-eaters.

Primates

Channel: BBC Earth (DStv 184)
TX Time: 16h00
Genre: Wildlife, Documentary Series

Primates

Monkeys, lemurs, lorises, bush babies and, of course, the great apes. Countless faces, one remarkable animal family.

Captured with BBC Studios Natural History Unit's signature style, with immersive cinematography, emotional storytelling and new insight into the animals we thought we knew, Primates combines celebration with revelation.

We meet familiar primates with new stories and new species rarely seen on screen.

Chris Packham narrates the definitive series about our closest relatives.

At the heart of this series is incredible animal behaviour.

New technology has captured primates on their level and in their world, whether that's in the treetops of a flooded forest, or the tangled undergrowth of the Sri Lankan night.
