These are the primetime adult television viewing figures for June 2020.

If you can't see the listing below, then click this link to access them in a document instead: Top Shows on TV: June 2020

SPECIAL NOTES:

Back-to-work impacts on heady heights

Notice how the record viewership of Lockdown Levels 4 and 5 (March to May) disappeared for shows in June as the majority of South Africans returned to work for Level 3 on Monday, 1 June.

Uzalo returned with new episodes on Monday, 15 June with a dramatic anti-climax as it battled to get close to the record viewership it achieved before its Lockdown-enforced production break, decreasing by over 2.5-million viewers between April and June.

Daytime shows when there shouldn't be

These TAMS documents are shoddy this month. The Broadcast Research Council hasn't used the accurate parametres for them again.

The documents are supposed to reflect Primetime shows from 17h30 to 22h00 but as you can see, numerous daytime shows have been included, meaning there are shows that aren't on the lists when they should be.

Points of interest

Moja Love continued to headline DStv because of the Family package (with Moja Love) being accessible to Access viewers until 14 June.

Isibaya upped-the-ante this month by biting at Gomora's heals. It's been a while since it's been a threat to the reigning shows on Mzansi Magic.

SABC1's National Film and Video Foundation movies attracted a healthy viewership for once-off events with the most popular one being the transgender flik Feminine Lotus on Wednesday, 10 June, atttracting 2,868,910 viewers.

Hi Timone.. we were just about to reply to you on the other thread... It has 13 episodes BUT they've been stalled because of COVID - they couldn't film all the episodes so it's going on break and will be back. Will confirm the time when we hear.
