The Amazing Race 30

First season to air on M-Net, with thanks to the shambolic SABC3 who let the rights go - #TheHlaudiChronicles.

More than 600 Racers have traveled over 1-million miles in 29 seasons, but for the 30th Race around the world, this edition boasts some of the most competitive and accomplished teams to ever take on the Race.

Teams include IndyCar drivers Alex Rossi and Conor Daly; retired NBA All-Stars Cedric Ceballos and Shawn Marion; X-Games champions Kristi Leskinen and Jen Hudak; nationally ranked debaters Henry Zhang and Evan Lynyak; Big Brother power couple Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf; competitive eaters Joey Chestnut and Tim Janus, among others.

Teams begin their adventure in Washington Square Park in New York City and immediately travel to their first destination, Iceland, where they must traverse a massive canyon high above the Geitargljufur River.

Along the Race, teams will travel to 10 countries, 21 cities and over 29,000 miles in the quest to cross the finish line of The Amazing Race first and win the one million dollar prize.

The Docket

Inspired by real cases which follows the personal and professional lives of the fictional Ravens, an elite crimefighting unit.

The Ravens were formed to fight crime under the media spotlight. In front of the camera, they have to win back the trust of the South African public. Behind the camera, they have to win each other's trust.

The Ravens are a specialized unit set up to investigate high-profile crimes in the public eye. The squad members have been chosen for their outstanding investigation skills, but their media relations are more challenging as colonel Marlon van Wyk is not the most diplomatic person.

Enter Detective Ntsiki Motshe who has a talent for dealing with the media's many questions. Together they solve crimes and warm relations between the public and the police.

Each episode is inspired by true criminal cases, mostly solved by the South African Police Services. Each case forms the structure on which each episode is based.

Will the Ravens catch the perpetrators of crime without causing a PR nightmare?

It's sad how Amazing Race is full of stunt castings when it isn't even a celebrity season.

A Big Brother power couple, NBA All-Stars, IndyCar drivers... where are the regular people?!

You just know these contestants are going to be reali-acting because of being on other reality shows or on a public platform whereas real people with real relationships are so much more authentic.

It loses its authenticity with the stunt castings - makes it feel too staged and fake.
