e.tv puts the punch into Days by zapping it from SABC3 where it turned into Nights of Our Lives.

A heads-up that Broken Vows changes times from Monday next week (4 September) in an e.tv schedule shuffle sparked by the arrival of Days of Our Lives.

Days premieres on the channel on Monday, 4 September at 17h30 and the primetime schedule has been adapted so that the channel's soapies air back-to-back from 17h30 to 19h30.

This is what the new schedule looks like:

17h30: Days
18h30: Broken Vows
19h00: Rhythm City
19h30: Scandal!
20h00: eNews Direct

The line-up impacts on Club 808 on Fridays, where it moves from 18h00 to 16h30. The Steve Harvey Show loses a day as a result and will air from Mondays to Thursdays at 16h30.

Etv wants to stop broadcasting news.if ratings are bad for enews at 8pm ..they will use that as an excuse to stop them .i like Broken Vows i might just watch

LOL etv has FINALLY accepted defeat in that 20:00 timeslot. Or maybe they need better content, I wouldn't know. I've never watched their "regeneration" soapies.

@dezi did not say skeem is boring bt Bv is 5x better on acting and 3x better on storyline+plot

You know, Generations has a very vocal club of critics and doomsayers, and it is far from being perfect. But when it comes to primetime competitions, it remains undisputed at 8pm. I was quite amazed that after the ill-fated shows like Ashes to Ashes and Gold Diggers whhch were boasting seasoned performers and big hype, etv still made another serial to challenge that primetime TV hegemony. I'm pretty sure Broken Vows was the last attempt. That said, I might check it out for the first time on that new slot. But I'm not making any promises.

etv was very dumb to begin with, they should have put all those telenovelas at 8:30 b4 uzalo became populer. millions would have watched coz they were still upset over gens debacle. BT they opted 2fight a losing battle taking on Generations. aniwai since the news is at 8, I guess gen will get more viewers.

It's all Monde Twala's fault, he was quite obsessed with taking down Generations. He played himself. Issa shame.

I'm still mad about WWE especially those summer slam, rayal rumble etc. I saw on SS9,10 it will be 3 hours nt 1 hour

Urgh I am so upset about the WWE. I am also upset about Club 808 moving to 16h30, like what the heck. Now I have to watch the reruns.

I don't think they want to stop showing the news, they already have a full news chanel in eNCA and I don't think that they worry too much about ratings for the news.

Shame Club 808 buried alive there.  I started following Broken Vows on and off last week, its quite interesting but theres no way I would choose it over Skeem Sam.  20h00 is no ideal time for news, the news is one of those things you want to get over and done with and then settle for some entertainment before going to bed.

I am also sad about WWE. Angry in fact, RAW was playing last night at 18:00-21:00 on ss9/10. I couldn't really watch because I was too busy watching soapies. It sucks!

What is Marlon Davids doing vele ....a lot of viewers are upset about WWE now this .unless they are planninh something big cz now it seems focus is on International content ..

I agree, it feels like etv is going back to being a channel with heavy international programming. Which is strange because in recent years they were proud to be embracing more local content.
