Idols: Top 7 song choices

The bizarre case of Jennifer Rush continues.

Have you noticed how often you see her or hear about her? She's a relentless haunting from the '80s who persists in appearing everywhere - in interviews, on radio and now on Idols.

She's the guest artist on Sunday's live show which means that the Top 9 are going to assault us with tacky '80s hair and songs.

This is what they're singing...

Amanda
Paradise Road - Joy (1980)

Dineo
Heaven - Bryan Adams (1984)

Elwira
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome - Tina Turner (1985).

Karabo
Last Christmas - Wham (1985)

Loyiso
Don’t Worry Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin (1986)

Lungisa
Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper (1983)

Mmatema
Weekend Special - Brenda Fassie (1986)

Rhema
If You Don’t Know Me By Now - Simply Red (1989)

Siphelele
Say You, Say Me - Lionel Richie (1985)

but on idols official site, it stated that Matema is singing Weekend Special... haybo TVSA

Mmatema

We’re seeing quite a change of pace from Mmatema this week as she takes the judges’ advice and steers away from the power ballad to perform Brenda Fassie’s Weekend Special. A South African icon, MaBrrr has been called the “Queen of African Pop” and the “Madonna of the Townships.” Can Mmatema live up to this reputation? We’ll have to wait for Sunday to find out.

Thanks for the alert skura - yip - she's singing Weekend Special. We've corrected it.
