Expresso Changes

Expresso Morning Show recently celebrated two years on SABC 3. Personality and expression: Expresso epitomizes the burgeoning aspiration and energy of South Africans. Expresso offers style, personality, daily interaction, active digital and social media discourse and creativity when interfacing with viewers.

There will be numerous changes on Expresso moving into the new season.

With the shows new contract going forward, Expresso is increasing its Johannesburg regional content so will be building presenters based in Johannesburg in order to do this effectively.

Liezel van der Westhuizen has made a great contribution to Expresso for the first two years of the show, and will still be part of team in 2013, however appearing less on Expresso Morning Show on an ad hoc capacity while taking the year off concentrating on completing her PhD in Communication Management. “I'm sad to not be on the live show each morning and seeing my Expresso family daily, it’s been an amazing journey and I've grown in many aspects, not only as a presenter but as a person as well.

"It’s wonderful to be part of such a successful breakfast show. I look forward to waking up and watching the show from home,” says Liezel.

Kia Johnson has also moved on to freelance as a traffic reporter nationwide for various TV channels and radio stations. We wish them both best of luck in their future endeavors.

Expresso presenters; Katlego Maboe, Ewan Strydom, Leigh-Ann Williams and Graeme Richards make a powerful and energetic team who are excited to continue to spread their feel good vibes every weekday morning from 6am – 8:30am.

“I'm excited about this coming year on Expresso. This show has allowed me to live out my dreams while being myself. I enjoy every part of it and look forward to many years of feel good mornings across the land - with lots of LOVE,” - Katlego Maboe.

“I cannot think of anything better than kicking it into gear with my Expresso Family! I'm looking forward to the fun, positive feel good vibes on set with my fellow presenters. Expresso offers something for every personality out there and it's a privilege to wake up SA with a smile, making sure to start any day on just the right note” - Ewan Strydom

“Expresso has been the most amazing adventure of my life! I’ve had the opportunity to meet local and international stars, while working with the best team in the world. It’s been a humbling experience. There’s nothing better than having the opportunity to start the day with Expresso” - Leigh-Anne Williams

"At Expresso I have found a Sports mad family that brings out the very best in me and viewers that are so keen to learn and experience every new adventure with me. Together we are really changing perceptions - the way people see our beautiful country and how people feel about themselves; a truly amazing space to be in. In the coming season we tackle even bigger, crazier and more challenging adventures; now is the time to infect SA with our feel good spirit!” - Graeme Richards
