Week 37
TX Date: 3 SEPTEMBER 2007
Singanga demands that Jay-Jay set up a meeting with Vusi, to prove that he's still alive. Morongwe's children arrive home and Tino has to take care of them. Samantha struggles to fill Nadia's shoes as Scandal! editor. Kayleigh finds the key to clearing her father's name.
TX Date: 4 SEPTEMBER 2007
Mmadika is forced to continue pretending to be the mother of Morongwe's twins. While Tino urges Morongwe to tell Alex the truth. Shakira's fear of being rejected by Kayleigh doesn't prevent her from finally revealing her true feelings. Fana is devastated to discover Palesa is leaving town, for good. And Palesa doesn't have the courage to tell him that she's HIV positive. Jay-Jay takes Vusi's gun to his final confrontation with Singanga.
TX Date: 5 SEPTEMBER 2007
When Fana tries to talk Palesa out of leaving town, their relationship comes to a head. Kayleigh is still wrestling with Shakira's declaration of love, and she isn't getting much sympathy from her friends and colleagues. Alex decides he would like to play a larger role in the twins' life ...but will Morongwe let him? Samantha's performance at NZH continues to suffer, and Nhlanhla is making sure everybody is aware of it.

Morongwe begins to suspect that Alex and Mmadika are growing too close. Samantha is confronted about the problems at Scandal! Shakira is upset that Kayleigh does not seem to feel the same as she does but worried that Shakira is not ready for a real relationship Kayleigh suggests that she gets professional help. Fana desperately tries to find out why Palesa is pushing him away.
Week 38
TX Date: 10 SEPTEMBER 2007
Fana tries to reach out to Palesa about her status, but when his attempts are rejected, he's forced to consider more drastic measures. Taking Kayleigh's advice, Shakira tries to mend things with Abigail and Tino. Alex struggles with the new-found information that he's the father to the twins and blames Morongwe for depriving him of being a father for the past eight years.
TX Date: 11 SEPTEMBER 2007
Alex forces Morongwe to reveal that Tino also knew about the twins. Later, against her wishes, he demands to see his children. Maletsatsi tells Eddie that Palesa is HIV positive. Meanwhile, after having gone “missing”, Palesa finally returns home. Shakira decides to make an appointment with a therapist. Fana is given a dire ultimatum.
TX Date: 12 SEPTEMBER 2007
After being denied access to them, Alex threatens Morongwe to claim sole custody of their children. Eddie and Maletsatsi clash over Palesa. Meanwhile, Fana's attempt to get Palesa to stay in Joburg fails. Nadia considers Daniel's suggestion that she temporarily come back to work at NZH. Shakira worries about being in therapy. To Samantha's delight, she's reunited with Andrew.

The business course that Andrew attended has inspired him to think of becoming his own boss. Eddie and Maletsatsi continue to argue about religion, but then the situation with Palesa reaches a climax. Samantha is shocked when Daniel reveals that Nadia is temporarily rejoining the Scandal team. When Alex visits the children without permission, Morongwe drops a bombshell on him.
Week 39
TX Date: 17 SEPTEMBER 2007
When the entire Khumalo clan starts going out of their way to be supportive of Palesa’s HIV status, Palesa feels overwhelmed. Samantha is anxious about having to work with Nadia again. Mmadika and Morongwe’s relationship reaches a breaking point as a result of Mmadika’s sympathy for Alex and Alex discovers he might be able to use Mmadika to his advantage.
TX Date: 18 SEPTEMBER 2007
Sam cunningly persuades Andrew to buy them a new house, but Andrew receives some discouraging news about his professional prospects. Tino’s interest in Mmadika grows, when he makes her an offer to stay with him. Palesa’s irrational behaviour continues, as she starts trying to make Fana jealous of Jay-Jay. Mo catches Alex and Madika in a lip-lock in the company elevator.
TX Date: 19 SEPTEMBER 2007
Jay-Jay is used by Palesa in an effort to test Fana’s feelings for her. But then the Khumalo family dinner turns into a disaster. Andrew and Samantha decide to tell Jay-Jay that they’ve found their dream house but they are worried about his reaction. Where will he live if they move? Mmadika takes the opportunity to make her feelings known to Alex. Alex in turn gives Morongwe a final ultimatum.

Samantha goes house hunting and Andrew gets a nasty surprise. Things go wrong for Lolo when she tries to intercede for Eddie. It’s time for Palesa’s medical exam and she’s getting nervous.
Week 40
TX Date: 24 SEPTEMBER 2007
Mmadika makes peace with her sister, Morongwe, and with Alex, on the eve of leaving Johannesburg to return to KZN. Fana is starting to get a case of cold feet as the reality of sleeping with an HIV positive woman hits home. Samantha is incensed when she discovers that Nadia is earning a bigger salary than her and, in her mind, this justifies in her claims that a serious case of favouritism is being committed by Daniel. Shakira’s therapy is helping her come to terms with her grim past.
TX Date: 25 SEPTEMBER 2007
Samantha decides to resign. Maletsatsi accuses Eddie of being jealous of her Pastor. Alex wants to tell the twins he’s their dad, but Morongwe is against it. A healing Shakira talks up Tino for Mmadika’s benefit. Fana wants to break up with Palesa, but he can’t go through with it. Mmadika and Tino say goodbye, but not before she gives him a kiss. Alex introduces himself to the twins as their father.
TX Date: 26 SEPTEMBER 2007
Following Alex’s revelation to the twins that he’s their father, Morongwe feels threatened that he’s trying to alter the dynamics in the household. When Nhlanhla discovers Samantha looking into other work possibilities he’s convinced she’s trying to jump ship to start her own rival publication and the rumours start spreading like wildfire. Thato arrives back in Jo’burg and there’s immediate tension between Maletsatsi and Eddie about whether to let her stay with them. Palesa is convinced Fana is trying to break up with her and continues to give him the cold shoulder despite his efforts.
TX Date: 27 SEPTEMBER 2007
Zakes’ father wants Fana’s help in taking revenge on Laqhasha. Thato’s baby makes Palesa despair of ever having a child or leading a normal life, and Thato’s presence is causing more tension between Eddie and Maletsatsi. Morongwe decides to take control of the new publication initiative from Tino, making both Tino and Abigail very angry. Sam gets some shocking news about the house she made an offer on. Alex and his son, Thabang have a close encounter with a hand-gun.
