Crazy, Ludicrous Dramas - Yet they Influence Our Lives

Outrageous plots, zany characters and twisted storylines. This is the demented world of soapies and dramas. Undoubtedly we all make it a point to tune in and absorb this fictional world.

What influence though do these dramas have on our lives?

None, you might answer but lets explore how the fictional world of drama plays a role in our lives.

Television was brought in to SA during the late 1970s, before that print media and radio production were the main forms of keeping ones knowledge and entertainment in check. Along came television introducing(seducing?) us to the world of on screen immorality, sex, and drama.

Ultimately though there are people out there who cannot see the fine line line between reality and make believe, hence certain characters being assaulted physically and verbally. Children grow up believing that torture
(wwe) is the norm and promiscuity oh so glamorous.

Gossip and Reality shows are certainly entertaining, but a careless comment(idols?) can consequently ruin ones reputation.

Moral decay is evident in our society, and is at times aggravated by what people witness on TV.

Admittedly Tv is no excuse for societies ills, but the world would definitely be a changed place without the daily screening of violence and sex.

Well said. we cannot blame television for choices people make but we are in a great extent creatures of experience and creatures of habit so a lot we do is because of what we are exposed to.

All human beings have an internal camera in their minds and simply absorb what they see, when an individual has to make a decision the sub conscious mind plays a role and draws on what one has seen and visually absorbed.
