Season 1 originally aired on SABC3 from 11 December, 2008 to 22 January, 2009, on Thursdays at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly.

Season 1 later aired on Comedy Central from 18-26 December, 2013. New episodes broadcast daily at 18h50, on weekdays. There are seven episodes in the first season.

Synopsis

Rules of Engagement is a comedy about the different phases of male/female relationships, as seen through the eyes of a newly engaged couple, Adam (Oliver Hudson) and Jennifer (Bianca Kajlich), a long-time married pair, Jeff (Patrick Warburton) and Audrey (Megyn Price), and a single guy on the prowl, Russell (David Spade).

As they will find out, no matter what stage of life they're in, when it comes to love connections, life is full of twists and turns, conflicting needs and varying points of view.

It's a world of self-discovery without a book of rules to lead them, but when they accidentally get something right, it can be wonderful.

People can describe the ride to you, but to really know what it's like you have to experience it for yourself.
