Season 2
Lingashoni is a South African telenovela which revolves around a businessman who returns to reclaim his life 10 years after being declared dead.
The series tells the tale of a poverty-stricken farm worker who returns to his former life as a high-flying businessman after a decade-long memory loss.
The series explores the concept of family, blended family drama, high stakes and the dark underworld of crime and suspense.
The show takes viewers on a journey that sees a man's life go full circle as he returns to his old life in Bassonia.
After a season of intrigue, twists and turns, heartbreak, betrayal and criminal activity, Lingashoni dials things up even further in Season 2.
After fighting for her equal rights as a Cele wife and being snubbed at every turn, Seipati makes a shocking decision that leads to a life-changing event for everyone in their world, leading us into a fiery second season.
As if the drama and tension between Mandla Cele and his two warring wives - Puleng and Seipati - isn't enough, a new family joins the show to shake things up.
While reeling from the events and developments of Season 1, we're introduced to the Shabalalas: mother Brenda (played by Magi Williams) and her two children - Japan (Ishmauel Songo) and Poppy (Lungelo Mpangase), who was introduced towards the end of last season.
A breath of fresh air and simply going about their business, we quickly learn that there is far more than meets the eye – especially with Brenda.
The overarching theme for Lingashoni 2 is that doing what's best for your family's survival is the ultimate test of courage, and in the furnace of adversity, your true self is forged.
Lingashoni is an M-Net Original Production, co-produced by Stained Glass TV and 1Magic.
Gugu Zuma-Ncube, Pepsi Pokane and Reneilwe Sema are the executive producers for Season 2.
The series producer for Season 2 is Siphiwe Hlabangane and the supervising producer for M-Net is once again Mariki van der Walt.
The Season 2 head writer is once again Siphosethu Tshapu, with a writing team including KG Mogale, Ntando Mhlango, Fulufhelo Mbuna, Sibusiso Kumalo, Athi Petela, Nombulelo Mcwerah, Tsale Makam and Kirsten Adams.
The title track is by Anzo.
