Season 2

Love Back is a South African reality television series hosted by Wright Ngubeni and based on the premise that someone who has lost the love of their life can get a shot at winning their heart back, as the former lover seeks to reconcile.

The series promises to have viewers hooked on the heart-wrenching stories behind the break-ups and make-ups. The show is based around those individuals who still feel inescapably pulled towards each other, even one half of the former couple hasn't quite realised it yet.

Viewers have the opportunity to start the new year in the company of some seriously love struck individuals.

Love Back aims to create the circumstances for reconciliation and romance, in the hope that this show will give the broken-hearted a chance to rekindle the flame that they had with the person who they believe is the love of their life.

Love Back was filmed across South Africa with the aim to show how people overcome the obstacles that might be holding back a perfect couple from getting together again.

The series was executive produced by Thomas Gumede, Lungile Radu, Simphiwe Mhlongo and Siyabonga Ngwekazi for Parental Advisory Productions; and directed by Radu. The theme music was by HeavyW8 Productions.

Broadcast Notes

Season 2 premiered on Mzansi Magic on Sunday 19 April 2015, at 18h30. After two episodes it went on a four-week hiatus, returning with new host Wright Ngubeni in Episode 3, which aired on 7 June, 2015.

Season 2 was supposed to have 14 episodes, but the season was interrupted after seven episodes by Idols 11. Instead of rescheduling the remaining episodes, they were included in Season 3.
