Season 6

America’s Next Top Model returns for a sixth season in an all new timeslot on Mondays at 9pm as of 6th April 2009.

Former supermodel and talk show host Tyra Banks has handpicked all 32 contestants arriving in Los Angeles hoping to secure a place in the final 13.

Her entourage of judges, fashion icon Twiggy, photographer Nigel Barker, and runway coach Miss J. Alexander are by her side to assist during elimination.

Art Director of photo shoots, Jay Manuel will be schooling the modelettes during the course of the show.

This season the contestants consist of a hillbilly, a Hurricane Katrina survivor, a former phone sex operator and a rebellious preacher’s daughter.

Their photo shoots are straight out of the pages of a glossy magazine as they go bald, walk the runway with cockroaches and pose on top of elephants.

The aspiring models will undergo a 12 week modelling boot camp as they are given insider tips on the world of fashion. During the last few weeks of the competition, they will fly to one of the top fashion capitals of the world - Phuket, Thailand - for their international destination.

The grand prize at the end is a ticket into the modelling world as the winner of America’s Next Top Model. In addition, the model will receive a contract with Ford models, a spread in Elle Girl magazine and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics.

Watch Tyra Banks’ thirteen protégés be transformed into top models.

The season's catch-phrase is "Fairy Tales Come True".
