Season 2

Bolder than ever, Kim, NeNe, Lisa and Shereé have been busy pursuing their dreams and striving to maintain their relationships.

DeShawn left the show after the first season - she has been replaced this season by a Kandi Burruss, a Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter who resides in Fayetteville, Georgia with her seven-year-old daughter Riley.

Burruss is a former member of the Platinum-selling musical group Xscape, and won a Grammy Award for her work on TLC's song "No Scrubs".

She has also written/co written music for artists who include 'N Sync, Destiny's Child, Alicia Keys, American Idol Fantasia Barrino, female rapper Solé, Pink and Whitney Houston.

In the Season 2 premiere: Shereé decides to throw herself an "Independence Party" to celebrate her recent divorce, while Lisa and her husband discuss the idea of having another baby.

The ladies attend actress and comedian Niecy Nash's birthday party, where Shereé and NeNe reflect on their tumultuous past. Kim decides she wants to design a line of wigs, and gets the ball rolling by going to cosmetology school.

New housewife Kandi contemplates her new life with fiancé AJ, while Shereé's party plans start to go awry.

The series is an up-close and personal look at a group of fabulous women from Atlanta's social elite – from Grammy-Award winners to aspiring singers, power brokers to super models - as they juggle their burgeoning careers and busy home lives amidst the whirl of the south's hottest city.

Atlanta has become one of the hottest entertainment hubs in America, and the Housewives are taking their individual talents to new heights in search of stardom.

These driven and ambitious women prove that they're not just "housewives," but entrepreneurs, doting mothers and feisty southern women.
