Season 1
For the Love of Ray J is an American reality competition dating series created by Cris Abrego and Mark Cronin and featuring hip hop singer Ray J, in which a group of women compete for his affections, getting eliminated each week until one remains and wins the "ultimate prize": the love of Ray J.
The series aired in the USA on VH1 from 2 February, 2009 to 8 February, 2010. There are 26 hour-long episodes in two seasons.

Season 1

Ray J, acclaimed singer, songwriter, actor and celebrated "bad boy" of Hollywood has lived the life most people only dream about - late nights and lots and lots of girls.
But being in the business as long as Ray J has been has made him question whether true love is possible...
Ray J's success has brought many perks, including many beautiful women, but it's exactly these type of women that has made him question his belief in love.
The simple fact is, the women in his circle - the social climbers, gold-diggers and groupies - are with him for all the wrong reasons. Ray wants to break away from these types of girls, and find that unique lady capable of restoring his faith in women.
So Ray has decided to give love a chance, and pour his heart and soul into it. He knows he can't do it on his own, so Ray hit up VH1 and told them he wanted to do a show like his boys Flavor Flav and Bret Michaels, but he wants to do it the Ray J way...cool, young and sexy as hell.
Ray will spend the next month giving all types of women a chance to be his "ride or die chick".
Ray will bring 14 of the finest girls from around the country to his mansion in the Hollywood Hills and put them through challenges, dates and eliminations to find the ladies that are smart, funny and beautiful enough to survive the cut.
Having these girls with him will not slow down his lifestyle, he will continue to be Ray J - bringing these girls with him to the hottest spots in LA, to Sin City to meet his famous friends, and even to meet his family.
The girls that survive the initial eliminations will be put through more tests to see who can fit into Ray's lifestyle... get along with his friends and family...and be the one girl to make him believe in love again.
