Season 2
Season 2 of Thola returns with more dishonest and deceptive dealings, which are the order of the day.
The world of Thola was left in tatters after Dibuseng (played by Nthati Moshesh in Season 1, now played by KB Motsilanyane) uncovered the worst nightmare for any wife whose husband is fighting for his life in hospital.
She was arrested for the murder of Rhudzani Makwarela, her husband. But... she claims that she saw him – alive and well.
Season 2 starts with Dibuseng in prison, fighting, screaming and flooding people with emails about corruption. These emails are sent through her nephew Tumelo. She has put all her hopes on the appeal, but more than that – she needs to prove that Rhudzani is alive.
Season 2 was directed by Vincent Moloi, Rea Rangaka and Nqobile Nthuli. The series is in Venda, Xhosa, Sotho and English languages, with subtitles added in English.
Broadcast Notes
There are 26 episodes in Season 2. The first 13 aired from 25 May to 17 August, 2016, on Wednesdays at 21h30. The remaining episodes returned with Episode 14 on Wednesday 31 May, 2017, in the same timeslot.
