Bio

Sibusiso Madondo (better known as Sibusiso Black Madondo) is a South African actor, director and writer best known for his recurring role as Abednego in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Isithembiso.

Hailing from Meadowlands, Johannesburg, Sibusiso studied for a Diploma in Speech and Drama at the Soyikwa Institute of African Theatre, from 2003-2006.

His television debut was a guest role in the final season of the SABC1 mystery drama series Mtunzini.com, in 2009. The following year he guest starred as a prison warder in an episode of the e.tv drama anthology series eKasi: Our Stories entitled "Cell 3" (Season 2, Episode 3, which first aired on 23 August, 2010).

He next surfaced as a guest star in the series finale of the Mzansi Magic comedy-drama crime caper Boo & TT, about two incompetent private investigators who bumble their way through a variety of odd and challenging cases. The episode first aired on 4 December, 2012.

Sibusiso played the role of Eugene Moeketsi on the e.tv soapie Rhythm City and Mgudluzi on the first season of the Mzansi Magic soapie Isibaya.

He landed the significant recurring role of Williams on the first season of the e.tv telenovela Gold Diggers, which premiered on 10 August, 2015. The series was simulcast on the now-defunct eKasi+ channel on the Openview digital satellite platform.

In 2016 he had a guest starring role as a mortuary assistant on the e.tv action drama series The Alliance and later that year recurred as Akani on the SABC2 thriller series Thola.

He had a guest role as a warder on the second season of the SABC2 Sotho drama series Mamello, appearing in Season 2, Episode 2 (which aired on 7 September, 2016). His role was upped to recurring in Season 3 the following year.

Sibusiso landed his breakout role as Abednego in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Isithembiso, making his first appearance in the series premiere on 3 April, 2017. He returned to the role in Season 2, in 2018/19.

In 2018 he secured yet another recurring role, this time for the final few episodes of the e.tv / eKasi+ telenovela Broken Vows as the younger version of Mlungisi, played by Mike Mvelase. His first appearance in the role was in Season 1, Episode 240 (which aired on eKasi+ on 12 March, 2018).
