Episode 1

Themba and Phumi move into their new apartment. With Themba about to finalise his contract at his work, they are set to live the high life.

But just before the contract is signed, his boss dies and his bosses son fires Themba out of jealousy. Now the couple is left high and dry, with a lot of bills to pay.

Now that Themba and Phumi are set to live in Sandton, Phumi goes on a shopping spree for their new apartment. After meeting all the new colourful characters that they will now share their lives with, the rug gets pulled from under Phumi's feet when she realizes that they have gone from golden to broke in one afternoon.

Gideon is trying to get Mrs. Rabinowitz to give him a raise.

Episode 2

Themba and Phumi are short on cash and have run out of money. After Mrs. Rabinowitz gives them a welcoming cake and they get a casserole from another tenant, they decide to have a bring-and-braai for the building.

This way they can squirrel some of the food brought by the guests, so they can get by for at least the next month. But as per usual, Phumi's greed gets the better of her.

Buseje gets irritated that Phumi keeps bossing her around. She pretends that she doesn't know how the appliances work because they are new, and Phumi starts "teaching" her how to use the new equipment. Little does Phumi know, Buseje is now making her do the house work while she gets to relax.

Gideon has a dream and thinks that he is cursed. He tries several traditional remedies, but nothing will work unless he slaughters a cow... which he can't afford.

Episode 3

Phumi and Themba have hit a dry spell and Themba is stressed out and unresponsive to her advances. Acting on Thoko's advice she buys lingerie to spice things up. Themba discovers hidden lingerie in the kitchen drawers the two of them have a passionate fight...

Oleshe informs Themba and Gideon that his uncle in Nigeria passed away and left him something big. Themba immediately decides he wants a piece of that action. In order to get it into Oleshe's good books Themba starts dressing like him, talking like him and cozying up to some of Oleshe's friends.

After a brief encounter with a mother who has a boy who loves playing with girl's toys, Thoko is inspired with an idea to produce a line of gay toys "since we are born this way".

Episode 4

Phumi's aunt arrives to hustle them. She fakes an injury to stay but gets caught and starts an illegal casino to make money. Phumi and Themba get in on the business, taking a large chunk of her profits, while keeping it a secret from the authorities and Mrs. Rabinowitz.

Gideon has brought his wonderful new girlfriend to work. Catch of the day turns out to be Patricia. She steals from Fishbone and other tenants. Oleshe is taken with Phumi's mother and tries to get into shape to impress her.

Episode 5

Phumi has been ignoring "Final Notice" letters from the furniture company – her plan to get money is to get some rich ladies in the building into her stokvel and cough up, but then the repo men arrive to take her furniture away, Phumi's in deep trouble.

Themba is trying to raise some cash. He sells his tie collection, but lies to Gideon saying that they were stolen. Gideon takes this case on and is determined to find the tie thief.

Thoko and Oleshe get stuck in a lift together as part of Thoko's plan to get Oleshe over his homophobic tendencies, but when Thoko can't get the lift working again, they are truly stuck.

Episode 6

After going to Gideon's aunt's funeral, Themba and Phumi decide to fake that one of their aunts has died so that they can have a memorial and get a lot of food and money. Unfortunately, they get caught out by the very same aunt when she arrives for her own funeral.

Oleshe's second wife comes to South Africa from Nigeria, because she's jealous of the gifts that his other two wives are getting. Oleshe has to get Thoko to help him convince his wife to go back home.

Episode 7

Dave arrives on Themba and Phumi's doorstep to spend the weekend with Themba, his friend, but Themba is stressed with work. When Dave and Gideon meet, and compete for Themba's friendship over a scheme they want him to invest in, sparks fly.

Thoko has gotten hold of 50 sheep heads/Skopo's for Phumi to sell for extra cash, and Phumi has the great idea of starting Skopo Sunday at the coffee shop and selling them as an African delicacy.

Thoko and Buseje are Mx-it friends without knowing it.

Episode 8

Phumi gets a job as a caterer with the help of Thoko. But after getting a deposit up front, she goes on a spending spree and can't live up to the responsibilities of being a caterer.

Buseje tells Themba that her sister is coming to visit. He says it's okay, as long as she leaves within a day, because the census people are coming.

Buseje's sister then arrives with four other people and Themba and Buseje have to hide them from Phumi and get them out of the apartment before the census people arrive.

Gideon keeps losing at finda-finda in the Township. Oleshe tries to school him on how to play, and he takes it upon himself to open his own finda-finda table.

Episode 9

Jumima surprises Themba and Phumi by arriving with her boyfriend in tow to stay for the weekend. She announces that she is engaged and wants Phumi's help. She wants Phumi to organise the wedding for the next day. They have to organise a wedding in a day, and Jumima and her mother aren't making things easy.

Thoko and Buseje have a crush on Gatiep, they both think he is interested in them and decide to do a test to see which gender he prefers. Gideon and Fishbone detain the groom and try to convince him not to get married. 

Episode 10

Rates and levies bills arrive and are very high. Body corporate president term has expired; it's time to vote again. Themba and Phumi meet Mrs. Rabinowitz who is running for re-election, as she hands out flyers. They realise the body corporate president doesn't pay rates and levies and decide that they can beat her.

Themba and Oleshe compete for body corporate but lose the election and Mrs. Rabinowitz is in charge again.

Phumi sees a woman giving Fishbone a cheque, Gideon explains that she is a fund for the disabled and it's so big she has a lot of money. Phumi decides to get a certain number of disabled people registered to her fund to get a grant.

Phumi makes Themba pretend to be disabled. Oleshe witnesses this and uses it against Themba at the debate.

Buseje tries to quit snuff and substitutes it with the kip-kip (pop corns); Oleshe is his dealer. Oleshe supplies her with the craving and Themba witness the deal taking place and records from his cell using it against Oleshe at the debate.

Episode 11

Themba gets cast in an international commercial. He and Gideon prepare for Themba's rise to stardom.

Dana and Gary arrive at the apartment. They are having trouble - Gary is ready for kids and Dana is not, she has given him a list of things he must do before she is ready to start having kids. Gary attempts to fulfil the list with Thoko in tow.

Episode 12

Phumi sees her last resort for getting Themba a job is to blackmail the guy who blacklisted Themba in the first place. She plans an elaborate hidden camera "white-listing" session, but when Gideon is in charge of recording the event, will Phumi be able to pull it off?

Themba is stuck with a mountain of toilet paper but when Phumi pushes him to think outside the box in selling it, Themba comes up with a whole new way of using toilet paper – as an "asset enhancer" by stuffing it in bras and panties to give bigger boobs and butts.

Oleshe wants his money back that he invested in Gideon's bogus edible underwear scheme. Gideon is determined pay it all back, but in five-cent coins!

Episode 13

Themba tries to start his own investment firm. But with office space being too expensive, he decides to run his business from home. Gideon then decides to help by being his secretary.

Unfortunately, through major miscommunication, Themba ends up with a whole bunch of people who don't care about his business, in his apartment.

Themba's mother arrives with a new girl for Themba to take as his second wife. She thinks Phumi is barren so this new wife can give her a grandchild. She keeps trying to convince Phumi that this is a good idea, but the new girl takes a liking to Thoko.

Oleshe has gotten engaged, and introduces his new fiancé to the group. You'll never guess who it is!
