Description

Call Me Fitz is a Canadian dark comedy television series created by Sheri Elwood and starring Jason Priestley as Richard "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, a morally bankrupt used-car salesman whose consequence-free life is complicated by the arrival of do-gooder Larry, another salesman who claims he is Fitz's conscience.

The series premiered in Canada on HBO on 19 September, 2010.

Call Me Fitz premiered in South Africa on DStv's SONY Max channel on Tuesday 8 February 2011, at 21h00. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 3 premiered on SONY Max on Wednesday 6 February 2013, at 22h00. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 12 episodes in the third season.

Season 1

Some men are born sleazy, some achieve sleaziness, and then there's Richard "Fitz" Fitzpatrick. Call Me Fitz, starring Jason Priestley as Fitz is a biting, dark comedy about a morally bankrupt yet charismatic used-car salesman who is forced to become business partners with his inner conscience.

Fitz is the star salesman in his father's used car dealership, but he is also a handsome, substance-abusing scoundrel who hits on any woman with a pulse.

When a car accident unleashes the last unblemished corner of Fitz's damaged soul, Larry appears and, claiming to be Fitz's conscience, begins the task of rehabilitating his mangled psyche – one twisted disaster at a time.

Season 2

Television's most lovable scoundrel returns when Call Me Fitz begins its second season.

Jason Priestley stars in this dark yet brilliant comedy series as Richard "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, a morally bankrupt, yet charismatic, used-car salesman who is forced to become business partners with his inner "conscience" - a lanky do-gooder named Larry.

Priestley has earned rave reviews and multiple award nominations for his performance as Fitz, the handsome, substance-abusing scoundrel who torments his naive co-workers, stoops to shameful lows to beat the competition and makes no apologies for his shameless womanizing.

The start of the second season finds Fitz incapacitated by a series of recurring nightmares in which he is shackled to a wheel of death before a shadowy, knife-throwing figure - who may or may not be the new office manager Dot Foxley.

Ever the pragmatist, Larry believes Fitz is simply anxious about not being able to sell cars, a theory quickly discarded after a psychic tells Fitz the nightmare is actually a prophecy.

Unless Fitz makes amends to the "person he's wronged", he is marked to die.

Season 3

A twisted family dramedy about a morally bankrupt salesman who is forced to become business partners with his inner conscience, an off-beat do gooder intent on healing Fitz's mangled psyche, one hilarious disaster at a time.

Politics. Power. Really pervy porn... Yep, it's a brand new season of Call Me Fitz, and this year our cocksure anti-hero is back on top.

Sure, a career selling pre-owned is pretty sweet, but why stop there when real power's within reach? Question is, how does a guy like Fitz get what he wants, when what he wants is always above the law?

Public office, baby.

The series was developed by Amaze Film + Television and is produced by Amaze Film + Television, Big Motion Pictures and Entertainment One, with the financial participation of The Movie Network and Movie Central.

Executive produced by Sheri Elwood, the show was filmed in New Minas, Nova Scotia and boasts a strong ensemble cast including Ernie Grunwald as Larry, Donovan Stinson, Peter MacNeill, Kathleen Munroe, Brooke Nevin, Husein Madhavji, Phyllis Ellis, Joanna Cassidy, Rachel Blanchard and Jonathan Torrens.
