Adventure Wanted (also known as Joby Ogwyn: The Adventurist) is an American docu-reality adventure television series produced by Rush HD in which adventurer and mountaineer Joby Ogwyn visits exciting locations to test the wildest athletic endeavours the world can throw at him.
The series premiered in the USA on Rush HD in April, 2008. There are six hour-long episodes in the series.
Adventure Wanted premiered in South Africa on DStv's National Geographic Channel on Saturday 16 August 2008, at 19h00.
Synopsis
Adventurer and mountaineer Joby Ogwyn visits exciting locations to test the wildest athletic endeavours the world can throw at him.
In the episode Stock Car, Joby straps in behind the wheel of a thundering stock car to learn how to race in the white-knuckle world of professional motor sports.
In Eiger Base Jump Joby goes to the California desert, where he leaps from a hot air balloon and free falls off the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho. His ultimate challenge in the episode: a base jump off of the Eiger in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland.
Later, in Climbing Yosemite, Joby heads to the Yosemite National Park to conquer one of the more challenging and picturesque rock walls in all of climbing: the 2,500-plus foot Lost Arrow Spire.
