Khumo, Lehuma le Kgosi: War is a South African television drama miniseries produced by Setho Films created as a sequel to the telefilm of the same name about two sworn enemies who come together to depose a village chief, only to discover that he refuses to lie down and that a war is inevitable.

Khumo, Lehuma le Kgosi: War premiered on Mzansi Wethu on Monday 26 August 2013, at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are five hour-long episodes in the series.

Synopsis

A village that has for many years been under the rule of a covetous chief is at long last free following a union between two sworn enemies, Khumo and Lehuma, mounting a rebellion which saw people coming together to rid themselves of the chief.

The only problem is - where to from here?

Now with the ousted chief as the enemy of the village and plotting a big comeback, Khumo and Lehuma can't stop what's coming - they can only prepare for a potential war.

Until then, no one is safe.

Khumo, Lehuma le Kgosi: War was directed by Rabotho Rakgajane, who also wrote the screenplay with Maswabi Legwale. Produced by Setho Films, the show was part of the "Lokshin Bioskop" series strand.

Episodes

Episode 1: Buang (Ditlamorago)

Khumo and Lehuma have now become leaders of KwaThari and have become better friends than they have ever been. The former chief is in exile looking for refuge.

Episode 2: Tshimologo ya Bofelelo

Dikeledi's idea becomes a reality; an army made up of initiation school men is born. The idea brings Dikeledi closer together with Khumo and sidelines Mmaphefo's who Dikeledi has been feeding poison.

Episode 3: Dikeledi

Dikeledi goes to fetch Lerumo from the former chief and wins the trust of chief Mokolobate and other chiefs. Mmaphefo's relationship with her husband is broken when Dikeledi comes back with Lerumo.

Episode 4: Baleta Lefifi

Mmaphefo dies - grief stricken father and son come together. They decide to chase Dikeledi out of their home and report her to the court. The court gives a verdict for Dikeledi to leave Kwathari for good. Ironically the same village struggles to decide whether war is an option.

Episode 5: Setulo sa Ga'mang

The stakes are high to the build up of the inauguration. Former chief and his cohorts of gathered chiefs are planning to attack before the inauguration while Khumo and Lehuma with their band of soldiers are all scheming one way or the other to hold on to the throne.
