Bio

Brooke Burke is an American television personality and model best known for hosting the E! Entertainment show Wild On (1999-2002); and the reality series Rock Star, from 2005-2006.

Burke was born as the fourth of seven children in Hartford, Connecticut to Donna and George Burke, and was raised in Tucson, Arizona.

She is Jewish (through her mother) and was raised in the Jewish religion; she also has Irish, French and Portuguese ancestry.

She studied broadcast journalism at UCLA, but was signed to top modeling agencies, including the renowned Ford Models Agency, and subsequently appeared in prominent television commercials for Bally Fitness clubs, Coca-Cola, and Discover Card.

She went to both Palo Verde and Sahuaro high school in Tucson, Arizona.

Before getting her big break Brooke was a model for Venus Swimwear and Frederick's of Hollywood.

From 1999-2002, Burke became well-known while hosting Wild On, a popular travel series on the E! Entertainment Television channel, replacing previous host Jules Asner.

As part of the series, she travelled the world extensively, profiling many popular travel destinations. Ratings peaked for the show during Burke's time on the show and tailed off significantly after she departed.

Burke first appeared nude during her early modeling career for the website BlueNudes.com, and most notably after gaining fame in the May 2001 and November 2004 issues of Playboy; and has also appeared in lad mags such as Maxim, Stuff, and FHM.

Maxim magazine named her #94 in their 2006 Hot 100 List and featured her in their gallery. During the rise of her career Burke had D-cup breast implants, as seen in her aforementioned first Playboy shoot. Those implants were later replaced or reduced to C-cup size, as seen in her second layout for the magazine.

She has voiced "Rachel" in Electronic Arts' video game Need for Speed: Underground 2, and asks the "People and Places" questions in the video game, Trivial Pursuit Unhinged.

Burke has fronted infomercials promoting a swiss ball video home fitness workout named "Gunnar Peterson's Core Secrets," and appears in the first video of the series entitled "20 Minute Full Body Workout." The infomercials have screened in New Zealand and Australia.

In 2005, Burke hosted the CBS summer reality show Rock Star, an American Idol-like series in which aspiring singers compete to become either the frontman or frontwoman for a rockband. The show received low ratings in its first season, but was renewed for a second season in 2006.

It was announced in May 2007 that Rock Star would not return for a third season, instead replaced by another Mark Burnett-produced show entitled Pirate Master.

Brooke Burke stars as a playable character in the Burger King advergaming title PocketBike Racer and in Big Bumpin'. In 2007, she was listed as one of Blender's hottest women of film and TV.

In July 2005, Burke and her husband, Dr. Garth Fisher, announced their separation. The couple had been married since 2001 and they have two daughters, Neriah (born March 2000, and named after her friend and former Playmate Neriah Davis), and Sierra Sky (born April 2002).

Burke is now dating French-born actor David Charvet. On the September 6, 2006 episode of Rockstar: Supernova, she revealed that she was expecting another girl.

On August 21, 2006 People Magazine reported the couple were engaged with Charvet having proposed to Burke at a summer party. On January 8, 2007, she gave birth to a baby girl named Heaven Rain Charvet.
