Her love for music and singing started at the age of 14 when she started playing guitar and practised with her family. It overwhelms her when she sees the reaction of the public to her performances and she enjoys knowing that a song she is singing can make a difference in someone’s life. She wants to make a success of her musical career by surrounding herself with music. Her dream holiday would be a retreat on a remote island with her husband. Her favourite film is The Little Mermaid and she enjoys watching 7de Laan. International singing sensations Shania Twain and Faith Hill inspire her. Welmarie's celeb coach is Pieter Koen.
