Julianne Moore is an American actress best known for her Oscar-nominated roles in the movies Boogie Nights (1997), The End Of The Affair (1999), Far From Heaven (2002) and The Hours (1992).

She controversially replaced Jodie Foster as Agent Clarice Starling in the 2001 film Hannibal.

Other movies she has appeared in include The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992); Body of Evidence (1993); The Fugitive (1993); Short Cuts (1993); Nine Months (1995); The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997); The Big Lebowski (1998); An Ideal Husband (1999); Magnolia (1999); The Shipping News (2001); Laws of Attraction (2004); and The Forgotten (2004).

She hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live in 1998.
