Michelle Botes (born 1962) is a South African actress best known for her role as villanious Cherel de Villiers-Haines in the SABC3 soapie Isidingo, from 1998-2007; and again from 2010.

She starred as Ingrid Jordaan on the M-Net Afrikaans-language soapie Binneland Sub Judice (formerly known as Binnelanders), between 2007 and 2010.

On 23 February 2010, TVSA broke the news that Michelle would be returning to her role as Cherel in Isidingo. This news was confirmed in May 2010.

She returned to Isidingo in early August 2010.

Michelle was born in Cape Town and went to Stellenbosch University and the University of Cape Town, graduating with a Performer's Diploma in Speech and Drama (Bilingual) and a Teaching Diploma.

Teaching in Afrikaans, Drama and English, Aromatherapist, Costume Design, Wardrobe, Translating and Presenting

Greatest Inspiration:
My greatest inspiration has always been the stories that must be told. Brilliant authors who are able to create characters such as Erendira - I wanted to share in the storytelling.
