Bio
Darryl was born in Windhoek. He was schooled at Grenville High in Rustenburg, and after Matric he was an exchange student in the USA for a year.
When he returned he worked in restaurants before doing his military service where he joined the Catering Corps.
He then went on to study Hotel Management at the Witwatersrand Technicon, during which time he did modelling and photographic work. He won the Mr Wits 1994 and the Mr Technicon competitions, and was runner up in the Mr Hotelschool competition.
He enjoys cycling, squash and working out at gym. His hobbies include movies, music, art and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
His philosophy in life is: 'What's the worst that can happen?' If you are willing to accept it, go for it.
