Donovan Goliath is a South African comedian best known for being one of the celebrity dancers on the seventh season of the SABC3 reality competition Strictly Come Dancing, in 2014.
Having originally worked in advertising, Goliath decided to pursue a career in comedy after performing at the Comedy Underground in Melville in September 2010, where the position reaction inspired him to keep writing and performing.
Donovan has since appeared at numerous comedy festivals including Blacks Only, Soweto Comedy Festival, 99% Xhosa Comedy (East London), Zulu Comedy Corner (Durban), Jou Ma Se Comedy (Cape Town), MzansiFela Festival, AWEdnesday Comedy Jam and Tshwane Comedy Nights.
He also completed a 51-show, three-month run for LOL at Gold Reef City and was a featured comedian on the Comedy Central stand-up series Comedy Central Presents... Live @ Parkers.
Goliath was also a nominee in the Newcomer of the Year category for the 2012 Comics Choice Awards. In 2013 he was nominated in the Blackberry Breakthrough category as well.
In 2014 he was one of the celebrity dancers competing on the seventh season of the SABC3 reality competition series Strictly Come Dancing. His professional dance partner was Mary Martin.
In 2017 he joined the SABC1 entertainment show The Real Goboza, taking over from Phat Joe.
