Bio

Nicholas Strong is an American actor best known for his television roles as musician JT on the musical drama Nashville and as Phil Bushey, a popular radio DJ, on the science fiction television horror series Under the Dome, based on the novel by Stephen King.

Strong was born in Indiana and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where he began performing in local productions in his early teens, developing a love for acting that led him to pursue a Theatre degree at Ball State University.

Upon graduating Ball State, Strong spent a summer performing in the Illinois State Shakespeare Festival, appearing in such classics as Hamlet and Two Gentlemen of Verona, before making the move to Los Angeles.

In addition to his work as an actor, Strong is an accomplished musician, performing as a lead singer, songwriter and rhythm guitar player throughout Los Angeles.

After marked success playing and recording with his band, Nicholas was afforded the opportunity to perform in the 2012 NBC Diversity Showcase. His success from the Showcase garnered his television credits including a recurring role on Nashville and a guest-starring role on The Office.
