RIP 7de Laan creator Danie Odendaal died on Wednesday 30 October at his home in Langebaan where he's lived for the past six years. Cause of his death hasn't been disclosed. He was 77. Did you know? Danie had the idea for 7de Laan in the mid-1980s when he’d have breakfast at an Oppiekoffie type shop in Melville where he’d watch people go by and wonder about their stories. It premiered in 2000. >>
