Big claims. Will be interesting to see if it's big talk or impressive, especially the professor and his family. Are they reliant on other services to power their lives from the sun? This is the conflict I have with the whole solar thing... the fact that many of the solutions are linked to apps to manage the batteries and panels, and installers if there's a problem. So you get your freedom in one sense but then you're tied to an app and a company, which you have to trust. It's not like you just get your power from the sun and that's it. I still can't work out whether you have to have app to run an inverter and battery system or whether you can just set them up and hope for the best.
