CASTING Muso and talk show host Jo Black takes on the role of wingman to Brendon Peyper in Season 3 of kykNET's bachelor-type reality low Op my Eish! He's 41, Brendan's 27 and they're said to have a confidant/father-son relationship so he'll help Brendan duck and dive. The search continues for eligible bachelorettes. See CASTINGS.

This from series director Jaco Spies on why Jo was cast:

“Jo and Brendan are good friends and because Jo is a married man with children, he will be the ideal person to support Brendan.”

“Jo is very popular with our viewers and in the end, he was an easy, obvious choice for Brendan’s wingman.

“I believe Jo is going to be an anchor for Brendan. It looks like fun to be the bachelor on a reality show like this, but it’s often hard, and it gets complicated when the bachelor is obliged to send one of the women home. Jo’s charisma and easy-going personality will be an asset to the series.”

“A wingman’s ultimate goal is to shine a light on the bachelor and to help break the ice during the first meetings with the women. He also gets to know them and that puts him in a position to give the bachelor sound advice."

And from Jo:

“I know what it means to have a good wife, especially in this industry. As an artist the world gets the best of you, but you also need someone to pick up the pieces when you’re going through a tough time.”
