Raj Proves He Can't Do A Job

eps09Yay - it's such a relief having Raj gone. From the moment I spotted him I've been waiting for it to happen, never for one single moment considering he'd make it to the end.

While his affectations and propositions have had their fun moments, they reached their zenith when he played tennis with Anna and that was it.

Since then all he's done is want to go to war on the streets of New York, point fingers and intimidate The Don's receptionist.

I reckon this why he was fired - not so much because of the mess he made during the task but more because it's very obvious there is no future for him at Trump.

The most brilliant thing about it was that the very task he proved to be so useless in is what he actually does as a profession, proving how little focus he has when things are important.

During all his goofing around he's right there in the action, but when it comes to actually doing something he's on the sidelines, unable to deal with anything real effectively.

His firing was purfect, made more so by the fact that Ivana's grumpy mug has yet another opportunity to torture everyone - which they all totally deserve.

The task for the week that led up to a showdown between Raj, Ivana and Kevin involved the Apprenti fixing up a ramshackled house, seeing who could increase the value of it most.

To drill spanners in their works Trump brought back the first eliminated four - giving Rob and Jenn C to Mosaic and Brad and Stacie J to Apex.

After they were assigned their task on top of one of Trump's multi million-dollar buildings, everyone went back to the apartment where Stacie and Jenn attacked the people who'd ganged up to get them fired.

All the chicks expressed how much they loath one another and then each team went off to investigate the house they had to fix up, hiring a team of contractors to assist them.

Raj was put in charge of Apex and ended up with a construction dude called Carlos who did business in exactly the same way as Carlos in SA's The Block did. It's just too weirdy that it really does happen. Like that someone's name can literally describe exactly what everyone else with the same name is like.

In Mosaic Nip/Tuck Sandy was made task leader, saying she wanted to do an extra special job knowing how close real estate is to Trumpy's virility. To ensure that it happened she led the team with surprising dexterity, hiring Tony and the rest of the Soprano's to do the construction.

With their cigars and mafioso antics they were without a doubt the reason Mosaic ended up finishing everything that needed to be done. Through it all I was chortling away imagining the things they were getting up to to get the supplies somewhere in a shipyard or something.

In contrast Apex were useless, failing to finish the very important bathroom addition they made to the house as a direct result of Raj having no clue how to deal with Carlos.

It was very interesting I thought -he's such a big mouth when it comes to ladies but he couldn't get Carlos to do a stitch of anything. I was also very unimpressed when he ended up pointing the finger of blame at Kevin for organising him as a contractor.

The most ridiculous of all though was Raj allowing the brand new carpet to get ruined and telling the assessor types that the bathroom was a bit of mess but that everything was in place. It was so obvious that nothing had been done in it and yet he absolutely insisted it had. What was he thinking? That they'd somehow not trust what their eyes were seeing because he was telling them something completely different?

The way this lot have been blatantly lying without considering that everyone in the entire world can see what rubbish they're talking is so astounding it's too ridiculous that it's actually true.

Once the assessments had been made by the estate agents, both teams returned to the boardroom where they got the result of how much they'd upped the value. Apex's house got priced at $412 500 and Mosaic's at $430 000 - which was way too close considering Apex's mess.

Still, at least Mosaic won and Sandy and everybody else was happy - despite their crap prize. Going off to someone else's mansion to ooh-and-aaah and use their amenities is the furthest thing from my idea of fun. Their helicopter trip over New York was cool, but going to some strange person called Denise Rich's house really sucked. Who the stuff is she and where was she and how can that possibly be her name? Do ya think it really is?

The thing I didn't like about it is that it was all so based on the idea that Denise Rich is better than everyone else because she's got such a massive house and therefore they won the 'honour' of visiting it.

If there's anything that drives me crazy it's judging people's worth by the size of their houses and the entire prize was based on this. I know Trump does it all the time when he brags about his own apartments and buildings etc but this is to build his hype so it's fine - when it becomes part of the prize too it's just too nasty.

Kinda like Ivana's attitude 100% of the time. It's the only thing I agree'd with that horsey faced Jenn about - that Ivana does less and less all the time while creating bad vibes big time. Not that Jenn had any right to go telling her what was going to happen to her in the boardroom - how was that - her just barging in as if she was the project leader?

As for Chris and his stupid monologue to Don before he left the boardroom - puhlease - he's such a creep I can't stand him. Hopefully he'll be mega surprised next week when it turns out his pink bossom-buddy Raj got the whack. He defs deserves the torture of having to put up with more Ivana just for being him.

Thankfully Kevin got through it all unscathed, sticking up for himself and not once delivering a low blow. I didn't think he'd get whacked because it would have been over-the-edge ridiculous considering the other two up against him.

It was excellent seeing Stacie J make people like Jenn Horse swallow her previous words, highlighting her hypocrisy when she was caught in her lie about how she'd thought Stacie worked well. It was also excellent seeing that shiny-faced loser Brad blathering all over the boardroom table confirming exactly why I loathed him to the extent I did.

It also all confirmed that it’s lucky that Rob dude didn't stay - he's obviously certifiable - no-one in their right minds would ever kill themselves working as hard as he did when they're not even in the game.
