It's time for Rah-Rah-Rachel's return to Skeem Saam this Tuesday (10 June) and we've got you covered with the must-know details on her backstory.

Either as a warm-up reminder of her life or as an introduction if you haven't met her yet.

We got our TVSA clutches on her character biography and a selection of cool pix from the Skeem Saam archives which the show has shared with us.

It's her biography from Season 7 and we last saw her in Season 8.

This is the story of the Slay Queen ...

Rachel is Celia’s daughter with the late Ben Kunutu. She knows life is not fair and that good things don’t just happen to good people.

She’s not an idealist or a spiritual person, she believes in making things happen.

Rachel is also vindictive and not easily excited by the thought of seeing others succeed ahead of her.

She’s been to Gauteng University and back. There, she studied Hotel Management but that dream was soon tarnished by her low marks and her tendency to find herself in trouble.

She returned to Turfloop, reluctantly doing a nursing course and living with Granny. She doesn't want to live with Celia and Alfred, despite several attempts by Charles to send her back to Celia’s house.

Against the community’s wishes, Marothi has always had an eye for Rachel but now that Rachel is grown and somewhat unemployed and desperate, Marothi is even more determined to go after her.

We see how Rachel manipulates events to reinvent herself as Marothi’s flamboyant wife with the intention of turning her marriage into the envy of all Turfloop marriages.

Rachel’s weakness is that she’s green with envy and she’ll do anything to avoid a life without money and high status.

She’d rather be miserable in a limo than be happy in a shack.

-----

Since then, she and Marothi tied the knot. But the honeymoon phase soon ended. With Rachel first stealing a large chunk of Marothi’s money, then framing him for her “death” before disappearing.
